Hello everyone and welcome back to Emily’s Violin. This is the fifth week of me blogging about my violin and playing the violin. In this week’s post I am going to be playing the song Legends of Valor with my orchestra class. I’m apologizing right now but I was not able to take a video of my group playing the song because my phone did not have enough storage on it so I created a video with IMovie with the song I recorded on my recording app on my phone, of my class playing the song Legends of Valor. We are going to be playing the song Legends of Valor for our next concert which will be Monday night at 7 P.M at the school auditorium. We will be playing other songs also but this song is a difficult song that we have just started playing last week. In the song there are a lot of accidentals, dynamics, and intonations, which those things are what makes the song good and without them all songs would be boring and nobody would want to listen to the songs. Getting the notes right in a song is easy but trying to get the accidentals, dynamics, and intonations right in a song can be tricky and hard and if you don’t get them down correctly then the song will not be interesting and will be boring to the audience. In the video my class is playing the video my orchestra class is playing the song correctly for the first time. Please enjoy the video and if you have any questions then please leave a comment and I will try to reply. My SMART goal is to be able to correctly play the song Your Kingdom Reigns for my church’s Night of Praise concert on May 22nd. I will be playing a duet with my friend Rachel for this song and by playing this song we are sharing the gospel through music.

In the picture below is a picture of Ludwig Van Beethoven, one of history's most famous music composers. He was baptized on December 17, 1770 in Bonn Germany. Since he was a young boy he was musically gifted and started performing music when he was around 7 years old. Even though he was deaf that never stopped him from writing beautiful music.
