In the picture below is of the King Cello, it was created by Andrea Amati and is known as the world’s oldest cello in the world. Amati created it around 1574, and he created it for King Charles IX of France when the king heard of Amati’s well known skill of creating stringed instruments. Today the cello is in the National Music Museum in South Dakota, and you can go see it in the stringed instruments section of the museum. On the cello is a picture of the King and the royal emblem, and angels blessing the king.
