Hello everyone! This week in my blog I am posting a video on the history of the violin but I will have the description of the video down below. Hope you enjoy the video and maybe learn something new.
My SMART goal is to learn how to play Your Kingdom Reigns so I can perform it at a concert at my church in exactly three weeks from today.
My video is about the history of the violin and it takes you on a musical journey back in time to when the first violin was made many centuries ago and even longer to the ancestors of the violin. Although not proven and only theorized, it is believed by many people and theorists that Andrea Amati created the first violin. One thing for certain that we do know is that he created some of the most beautiful instruments in the world and history of the stringed instruments. Amati’s work was so good that King Charles IX of France asked Amati to make him instruments, and he made the king 29 instruments of the stringed family. Amati’s most famous instrument he made was the King’s Cello and you can see a picture of it in my video.
